Animal Control
Sumter County Animal Control, 1240 Winkles Road respond to calls involving vicious animals running at large, dog or cat bites and nuisance animals. Sumter County Sheriff’s Office currently has one full-time civilian and one part-time civilian Animal Control Officer to handle these concerns. The sheriff’s office also addresses issues of animal neglect, cruelty and fighting, which will be handled by other divisions within the department.
